KW also has fiddled with the car’s 425 hp V8 engine
7th August 2011
In order to make the ideal use out of the new running gear and its perfected road holding, KW co-operated with the high-class manufactory HRE Wheels. The manufacturer equips the Challenger with forged light-alloy wheels HRE 995R in brushed aluminum which shine in a satin black rim well. With their three-part construction, the wheels not only impress with their striking appearance, but also with their premium manufacture. They are available in the dimensions 10×22 inches at the front- and 11×22 inches at the back axle. The applied high-performance wheels Dunlop SP Sport Maxx in 265/35 ZR 22 at the front and 295/30 ZR 22 at the back render the best possible grip.
425 hp (313 kW) – that is the power behind the 6.1-litre SRT HEMI V8-engine. Thus, the road cruiser has enough propulsion. Therefore, KW has not concentrated on the engine performance apart from fitting a K&N sport air filter and a completely new exhaust system. But when it comes to its road holding characteristics in bends, KW has performed many changes. The running gear specialist from Fichtenberg in Germany fits its running gear Variant 1 in the stainless steel version inox line. The factory-made damping is optimally adjusted to the Challenger SRT8 and renders the perfect balance between sporty and tense adjustment and enough remaining comfort. The running gear is approved by the Technical Control Board and is equipped with an operating license and offers a lowering area from 10 to 50 millimeters on both axles. The stainless steel casing guarantees that the components inside remain continuously flexible even when they are strained more in winter.

The exhaust system by Magnaflow renders the right sound for the sporty appearance. The 18-inch prime pipe branches into a two-pipe system and powerfully roars at the back with four polished 3.5-inch end pipes.
But running gear, wheels and sound were not enough for kW. Therefore, the doors of the refined Dodge Challenger can be opened upwards thanks to LSD-hinges. The adjustable Guided Roller System (GRS) renders safety and precision when opening and closing the doors. Moreover, the LSD-hinges have proved in side crash tests that they offer the same safety as the original doors. The gull-wing doors add the finishing touches to the American car and complete the unique refinement.
The 2010 model of The Challenger just received certain minor changes over the 2009 Dodge Challenger model. The SE model comes with standard Stability control along with audio controls mounted on steering wheel packaged with Multimedia, UConnect and related Navigation packages. The R/T models come with automatic headlamps, door handle lights and LED cup holder.
The interior and exterior of the 2010 Dodge Challenger vehicle will surely get admiration wherever it goes. Accurate recreation of the 1970 original design has made its class. The classic package of the R/T model has added cool accent stripes on its sides. The Interiors of the Dodge Challenger’s comes with plenty of comfortable space for four passengers owing to large size and the relaxing seats. However the design is somewhat monotone and bland with scope of improvement.
The Dodge Challenger has a LX platform, and in 2008 just the SRT8 trim was available. However, in 2009, the Dodge Challenger under went a changes and this sports coupe now has a V6 engine and four-speed automatic transmission. The engine has 250 horsepower and gives 25 miles per gallon on the highway. The 2009 Dodge Challenger has three trims available, namely SE, R/T and SRT8. Out of all the three, the SRT8 is considered to be the best. The SE has 17-inch wheels, air-conditioning, CD/MP3 player, keyless entry, a tilting steering wheel and rear seat that can be split and folded. On the other hand, the R/T has a V8 engine, 18-inch wheels, suspension that is sport-tuned, steering wheel covered with a leather wrapping and the shift has a knob.

Jan 21, 2009 - Orange County, California. Late last Friday night, automotive icon Steve Saleen and his new company SMS Supercars launched the production version of the SMS 570 Challenger to media and customers. The lifestyle unveiling at “Tentation” nightclub in Newport Beach proved to be the perfect venue for the automotive enthusiast audience. “We have an exciting new vehicle and wanted to
shake up the old standard introduction at an auto show” explains Steve Saleen.
After its late night launch the SMS 570 Challenger began its lengthy tour to numerous US destinations
and Dodge dealerships. First stop last weekend was the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ,
where it was on display for attendees to admire.
“Scottsdale was just a stopover en route to the NADA Convention in New Orleans”, notes Steve, “I will present the car to Dodge dealers at the convention January 24-27”. The car will then continue on to a
number of locations in the South East where it will be shown to customers and dealers. A US press tour with both production models will follow at the end of the first quarter of 2009.

2010 Dodge Caliber
6th August 2011
This all-new Euro V capable engine is paired to a six-speed manual transmission and produces 120 kW (163 hp DIN) and 320 Nm (236 lb.-ft.), delivering 16 percent more power, 3 percent more torque and 25 percent more towing capability (1500 kg) compared with the previous diesel engine. Forged steel connecting rods, aluminum head and pistons, and fourth-generation direct-injection system provide durability, weight reduction and performance. Passenger refinement also improves as dual balance shafts and sound-deadening materials reduce the diesel engine’s vibration and harshness by 25 percent compared with the previous Dodge Caliber CRD.
Two World Engine offerings (2.0- and 2.4-liter) deliver power and refinement thanks to dual Variable-valve Timing (VVT) and an intake manifold design with flow control valves. Combined, these features produce more power, better fuel economy and a smoother, quieter operation than engines without them. The 2.0-liter World Engine replaces the 1.8-liter engine, delivering 4 percent more power (115 kW /156 hp DIN) and 13 percent more torque (190 Nm / 140 lb.-ft.). For even greater performance, the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 125 kW (170 hp DIN) and 220 Nm (162 lb.-ft.) of torque.
